Know Your Lemons

A few of you might have noticed the link at the bottom of this blog for Worldwide Breast Cancer. This is a design project I’ve been working on for several years to improve the way information about breast cancer is presented (it’s part of my PhD). Since Breast Cancer Awareness Month is coming up, I thought I’d share a poster from my collection (visit http://lemonland.imagekind.com/breastcancer to see more):

I’m also (trying) to put together an education party kit. If you hosted a breast cancer party, what type of things would you want to know? Please leave a comment about what you wish you knew, or wonder if it’s a myth about breast cancer below. I’d love to hear what you think to make the kit something that works for you. Thanks for your feedback!

Your poster cracks me up! It definitely got my attention.
I don’t have any idea what ought to go in your party kit, but I did like the poster that shows the steps to getting a diagnosis. I think knowledge is empowering, and I hate what I don’t understand.
I would love to see what else you come up with.

I was wondering if you would mind if I used your picture on my blog? I would of course link back to you.

    Thanks,

What an excellent poster. My mother died of breast cancer way back in 1976…we’ve come a long way, but posters like this will get the attention the younger generations as well. I love it!!! By the way, I found it when I visited Laurie’s blog. Thanks for letting her share.
