Here is a handout to go with Lesson #33: Avoiding degrading media influences. I had the girls think of their minds like a library and how it’s important to not fill the shelves with bad things that crowd out the good. The girl’s head has an open book to illustrate this idea, along with three arrows. The first arrow points towards the book, where girls write down the standards for putting things in their library (not watching rated-R movies, being careful on YouTube, from the Strength of Youth and the lesson media guidelines listed at the end of the chapter, etc.). The arrow pointing up is the things in their library that strengthen their relationship to Heavenly Father. The arrow pointing out of the library are the goals that they have for the future that require learning. Such as becoming a pilot, a good mom and so on. It’s a visual way to help girls connect the influence of what they read, watch and hear has on their spirit, and their future.

As always, comment if you download it, and enjoy!
